Football has the best, most meaningful regular season of any sport
(including the pros) and the worst postseason.

Basketball has the least important regular season of any sport
(including the pros) and the best postseason. The one thing I'd
change in hoops is to kill the LEAGUE tournaments, which render the
regular-season conference championship close to meaningless.
