Going to playoff system would not dilute the season -- even if it
were a 16-team playoff. It would make the season more exciting.
Right now if you're number 16 thru 20 in the BCS near the end of the
season, you have no shot at anything. If you have a playoff in
place -- 16 teams for example -- those teams still have something to
play for.

Please tell me what other sport -- all of which play out their
championships on the field -- would you like to see the playoff
taken away from. Would tht make their seasons more interesting?
