I'm not going to single out the (apparent) Williams departure as
being only on Bzdelk. What troubles me is that he selectively fires
5 kids, and perhaps underestimates how demoralizing that is for the
other guys on the team. If I wanted to be extreme about this I
might even say the four (only four!) returning scholarship players
have very few options aside from returning. Otherwise whose to say
we'd have zero returning scholarship players?
But from that article the other day, it sounds like Williams has
been hanging on by a thread since his Freshman year, so that's gonna
be a hard sell for any new coach.
