I always saw him for what he was - decent recruiter, ran a clean
program, not so great at the in-game strategy or player
development. When he started hiring chumps as assistants, that was
the beginning of the end.
"Decent recruiter" separated him from the 4 guys before him, which
was enough to make me appreciate the man, even though you guys
didn't seem to like a single thing about him.
You and Moe keeping saying "he quit," as if he walked out on the
team. He didn't.
So from your bitterness about his "quitting," you would have
supported an extension???? Laughable. Everybody in the world knew
he wouldn't be back. You Patton haters were just annoyed that he
outmaneuvered Bohn.
